The Hourglass Dulcimer is a proven design with well-balanced tone and volume. It has a 27.5-inch scale length. The aesthetics and tone of this model have made it the most popular among players.
It comes standard with four strings (double melody, single middle, and single bass). Gernandt hand-crafted stringed instruments are far from standard. Intricate inlay, details, and wood selection makes every mountain dulcimer unique and one-of-a-kind. Other string options are available.
All mountain dulcimers come with the six and one half fret. Additional frets are available on request.
